welcome to the mad house

Only one more sleep until Halloween waltz' into Crescent Manor (residence of yours truly), where a thriller night shall take place.

Ghouls, ghosts, the frightening, the fabulous. Naughty, nice, sugary sweet, sexy and downright disgusting. Super heroes, sailors, pin-up girls, devils, demons and angels. The calibre of attendees is sure to be a visual delight.

Photos will be posted for your amusement and creative perusal, after the event.

Spooksville welcomes you to join in the fun!

sex on legs

or on feet, maybe.

{i heart them}

no such thing

as intense or powerful as the magic of a child's wish.

I'm wishing like I was 4 years old, and the world is mine without a care. Come true.

moment of truth

what's a cookin'?

I think these little guys speak for themselves.
Deliciously cute.

Ideas for Christmas treats and foodie love are spilling from my mind. Gingerbread, shortbread, chocolate chip; icing, sprinkles, treacle and dip!

ignite that flame

I found this wicked art piece via The Cool Hunter.

Perhaps an appropriate visual pun?

Come on baby, light my fire...

the sign says: hawkers welcome

It's no secret that Gwen Stefani has been an idol of mine since my mid-teen years... and so my love of mohawks and quiffs hasn't wavered. Along with the rockn' roll appeal, Stefani's touch of glamour take the grungy/extreme style to a whole other level.

I thought I'd share some of my Gwen-Mohawk-Quiff love through various images sourced via weheartit and google images.

Be besotted.

Like Mama, like son.

Love? Falling? Now to channel and enhance those teasing and back-combing skills of mine...
Gotta keep that look hard n' fresh.

long time, too long

It is true, I shan't deny - it has been too long between posts. And an interesting one at that. Well, in my opinion, a little bit of depth never goes astray right?

Life has been a whirlwind for the last couple of months, full of positives, negatives and the inevitable maybe. There's that defiant saying that 'maybe means no', and unfortunately I'm unable to determine which way this maybe of mine is leaning.

My body's going crazy and my mind refuses to get a full, rested nights sleep six nights out of seven. Joyous. But I can't say all is bad. It simply isn't.

I have reunited with old girlfriends, made wonderful new like-minded friends (where the company is so easy, I love it) and partied a little like it's 1999... or there was never going to be a tomorrow. One of those recovery slash 'moving right-along' phases I think!

I have a great little sister and our friendship has blossomed - we are so similar... yet so very different.

And of course there's my wonderful Ya-Ya's - Jess, Janelle, Wendy, Riham and Casey (my gorgeous cousin). These lovely ladies are my stone. My Hard ROCK café... ready at anytime for a coffee, or a drink - but most importantly a never wavering friendship.

I think I'm at a crossroads where life is poking me in the back... not with a gun, but a particularly sharp fingernail, urging me to make some radical and exciting (or scary) changes. My sea legs have sprouted and the rest of the world is calling, and for the quill and ink yearns to take-off. I have much to do!

Cull the crap, clean out that friend closet (until it's sparkling... ooh a lovely spit shine finish) and take on the things that excite me.

There's a way to go. But I have to persevere.

You, my lovely readers, are probably sitting there going - we've all heard the same speech be-it inside your own head or from someone who cares - my aim is to sort it out. 24 isn't terribly young now is it? Well, it is - but I believe I'm having a mid-20's  semi-crisis.

Time to get a move on.
I guess that's enough depth for you?

I'll leave you with a gorgeous picture of my cousin, Casey (Ya-Ya love) when she was a wee one... before she learnt how to torture me as a child ;) Haha, ahhh.

There's nothing like positive people in your life, with wisdom and understanding. Thankyou for being there cousin. Love.

princess behaviour

Snow White skin, rosy cheeks, ebony hair and blood red lips. Enchanted, enchanting? ... just asking y'all a question!

I got a designer cack out of it anyway...

rock or roll

Channelling Gwen Stefani's funk and hairstyle glory for my Halloween event.
1940's Army pin-up girl, come rockn' rolla.

Thoughts? Suggestions? My hair is 'this' long (see below) - so I'm looking for 'do-able'...

wendy & wesley

My gorgeous best friend, Wendy Ann Gray - all round rockstar, and her boyfriend and musician, Wesley Dance... somewhere in Europe.

Arty little pair they are.

signification of happiness

I think it might feel like this.

{many hearts}

i've nearly eaten a whole box of shapes...

and a Magnum. Oh yes. It happens to be one of those days. It's not at all that terribly bad, I'm just a little under the weather and waiting on a certain arrival.

But - besides that, I came across this thought-provoking quote from my regular society story journal email. Here goes:

"I don't care what car you drive or where you live. If you know someone who knows someone who knows someone. If your clothes are this year's cutting edge. If your trust fund is unlimited. If you are A-list B-list or never heard of your list. I only care about the words that flutter from your mind. They are things you truly own. The only things I will remember you by. I will not fall in love with your bones and skin. I will not fall in love with the places you have been. I will not fall in love with anything but the words that flutter from your extraordinary mind."

I think you'd have to agree.

I'm in a place at the moment where fitness and being healthy have become major priorities, and I believe that will indeed benefit my 'extraordinary' mind. However much of a contradiction it is to the box of shapes and a magnum - sometimes you have to splurge a little right? And I plan on going for a run with my lil sister later this evening.

Any new regimes for your Spring... getting ready for Summer?

{that whimsical heart}
