bondi

Saturday afternoon saw the family and I head to Icebergs at the iconic, beautiful Bondi Beach. Whilst it was a little too fresh for my liking as far as taking a dip goes, the pools radiated luminous hues of blue and had plenty of Sydney-siders, enjoying the southern sea.
And here you have the famous beach sweep, from the southern side.
Sydney, I like you.

treasure trove

You could only imagine what literary treasures one could find here. I must go book thrifting again soon.

huddle

Waiting for the cooler weather to roll in. It's been a little warmer here over the last few days, I'm not sure where Autumn has gone. But I am looking forward to the chilly weather and layering up. And these guys are just a little bit cute, all fluffed up, all huddled together.
Perhaps a picnic in the park with cheese, wine & tea? All layered up and huddled in good conversation, of course.

right this way

While I'm studying away here today, I'm also perusing my favourite blogs... as always. I found the perfect, easy, affordable doormat for my apartment. A little bit of geometric design mixed in with cheap goods, spray paint and getting my mittens a little messy - perfect DIY right?
And while the original DIY, by Elsie Larson from A Beautiful Mess, was posted to be a festive project - I think it would look fabulous all year round by my front door!

Next stop - Bunnings.

So, I feel it's appropriate at this time to say a wee farewell to the structured segments of my blog :: fotografĂa friday & estilo sunday, until further notice. As you may have noticed, these segments generally don't appear on said days, due to my schedule, and so a more organic approach I think is best for now. Whilst I like the idea of having an expected post every week (like many of my fellow bloggers do), my creative ramble and inspirational sharing is best done in an unstructured fashion. Probably keeps you on your toes too ;)

So here's to the organic creative ramble, with a dash of design and illustration too.

Stay tuned.

today

... Autumn arrived. The wind picked up and it was the perfect afternoon to sit in a café and read a good book. Let's hope it stays this way and the sun doesn't have too much bite from here on in this season. I have many jumpers and jeans, and boots and scarves to layer with loosely curls locks and heady, comforting teas to sip.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break!

hold on tight

I like the idea of this subtle, minimalist bookshelf design. No longer will your books topple over with this nifty little sliding bookend by Colleen & Eric. I can see myself having to have one like this, amongst the many bookshelves I shall have in my own house to decorate someday.

arc

Sometimes I feel like this. Like right now. As if I were an acrobat silhouetting the moon... Creative stars are aligning and I can feel their magnetic pull.
It's a great feeling.

Onwards, upwards. Forwards, and further on.
