Day 18 of the new year and this is my first post. What's been keeping me? Well, as the year ended last year a curve-ball caught and a breathe of fresh air has seen some serious behind-the-scenes work take place.

So without rambling, I have waited til now to blog. To share a little quote to carry through your day, week, year, rest of your life. Sometimes you don't know whether it's good luck or bad luck, but what you do in the interim without giving up surely counts; and let's the Universe know you're ready for the next big thing.

Life has been a little full on to say the least since the last semester ended. With long hours, burning the candle at both ends some times, throwing in an outing for sanity's sake here and there, I think I have come across a product that would suit my lifestyle just so. But perhaps I could have multiple... fashioned to different benches at work, at home, perhaps even the dashboard of the car.

Every designer must doodle.

I like the idea of this subtle, minimalist bookshelf design. No longer will your books topple over with this nifty little sliding bookend by Colleen & Eric. I can see myself having to have one like this, amongst the many bookshelves I shall have in my own house to decorate someday.

There's a few DIY dreams floating around in my mind of late... and the idea of recycling pallets/crates seems to tickle my fancy. They can be used for so many different purposes and as you can see below, can be rather aesthetically pleasing in one's humble abode.

Wine racks, wall gardens, movable outdoor couches, coffee tables, bookshelves... the possibilities seem endless.

I'm loving the rustic, earthy look and  how it can be effortlessly teamed with the clean, crisp, minimal or eclectic interiors.
